AL-MARúF Academy
Inspiring the Next Generation
Founder
My name is Adeel, my passion for education began in my school years. From initially struggling with math to achieving an A grade at A-Levels. I understand what it takes to turn challenges into opportunities. This is why, in 2019 I started teaching Arabic and Math to instill confidence and the love of learning in children. My Academy offers online and in-person lessons to children of all ages.
My Journey
The journey of learning is unique to each individual, and for some, it comes easily. I consider myself fortunate that my path has led to a deep connection with education, one that transformed my struggles into strengths. My relationship with education began with early challenges, particularly in understanding numbers and digits, but through perseverance, I eventually found my stride in mathematics. This journey of self-improvement not only helped me master Math but also ignited a passion for teaching, which ultimately led to the creation of AL-MARúF Academy, a reflection of my love for education and my desire to make a meaningful impact.
Like many children, my education began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Initially, I could recite the verses, but I struggled to understand their deeper meaning. Tajweed, the art of proper Quranic recitation, was another challenge, especially as a non-Arab. It wasn't until I was 22 years old that I truly began my quest for understanding the Quran's divine message. I picked up my first copy of the Quran with translation and embarked on a journey to comprehend the words of the Creator. To deepen my understanding, I joined an Arabic school, where I was guided by a Sheikh from Libya. Under his mentorship, I began to not only understand the language of the Quran but also to refine my Tajweed. This period was profoundly spiritual, and I felt an overwhelming desire to share the knowledge I had gained. The teachings of our Sheikh connected our everyday lives to the principles of Islam, and I sought to inspire others with this new found perspective.
Over time, my bond with the Quran grew stronger, and I made it my mission to help my students experience this connection—intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally.
In 2019, I began teaching Math and Arabic to children, marking the start of my journey as an educator. Over the years, I have taught more than 1000 hours of lessons to over 30 students, ranging from children to adults. Each lesson deepened my passion for teaching, and I began to focus on my aspirations to teach Quranic Arabic, Quranic recitation, and memorization. This led to the founding of AL-MARúF Academy, where we offer both online lessons to students of all ages, helping them not only excel in academics but also cultivate a strong spiritual connection to their studies.
My journey has been one of growth and transformation—both as a learner and as a teacher. It is my hope that through AL-MARúF Academy, I can continue to inspire others to embark on their own path of learning, self-improvement, and spiritual growth.
